Nic Wass

Creative Associate

Nic Wass has been part of the Fifth Word team for ten years. Nic is a dramaturg, creative consultant, freelance producer who is passionate about live and digital art that crosses form, generations and intersects cultures: creating new connections and commercial opportunities. 

Nic’s roles have included Freelance Producer (Compton Verney Art Gallery & Park), New Work Associate (Shakespeare’s Globe), Creative Associate (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Head of New Work (Donmar Warehouse), Associate Dramaturg (RSC), Artistic Associate (Kiln) and deputy to the Literary Manager (Royal Court). 

Nic is experienced in international writing/translation, working with community groups, circus artists, storytellers and has mentored writers within the criminal justice system. Nic has worked on projects with the BBC, Channel 4 and Film 4, plus writing awards/panels.
