Script sent!

Submit a play!

We work with new and fast rising playwrights, through commissions or open submissions. We welcome unsolicited scripts submissions from the UK or Ireland for consideration for future productions.

We are interested in stories relevant to the world around us today, from the perspective of those that often go unheard, that resonate with new and younger audiences.

We will only accept scripts submitted through our online portal.

For further info on our script submissions policy please read our FAQ’s

You can also invite us to a production or scratch/ work in progress event showcasing your work.

We are more than happy to read submissions and proposals sent by agents on behalf of their clients, through our unsolicited script submission process or via email. We also welcome invites to showcase events or productions.

My play has already been produced; can I still send it to you?

Sorry, no. If your play has been previously produced then we won’t be able to consider it. If you have written an original play for the stage that is yet to be produced, we will read it and let you know whether we wish to consider it for production.

What kind of plays are we looking for?

You can get a flavour of the work we develop and produce by visiting our previous productions and collaborations here. The best way is to come and see our productions live on stage.

We are interested in stories relevant to the world around us today, from the perspective of those that often go unheard, that resonate with new and younger audiences. We present plays that entertain, emotionally engage and spark debate relevant to our time, bringing fresh engaging work to theatres’ and younger audiences.

Do we accept scripts from outside the UK and Ireland?

No, sorry. We only have resources to accept script submissions from the UK and Ireland.

Are there any types of scripts you don’t read?

We only read plays that we would consider for production. We are therefore unable to accept: plays that have already been produced; television, radio or film scripts; translations or adaptations; musical books and scores. Please note also that we only accept scripts from UK and Irish playwrights.

How long should the play be?

Either full length or single act works are acceptable.

Is there a limit on cast size?

Due to the economics of producing shows for small scale touring we usually say cast sizes should be kept relatively small (i.e under 5)

Can I send it by post?

To help the environment we only accept scripts sent electronically via our online form.

How many plays can I submit at a time?

Please only submit one play per writer. If we think there’s potential for a collaboration or we’d like to hear more, we’ll be in touch.

Who will read my script?

Your play will be read by one or more members of our core artistic team.

How should my play be formatted?

We prefer PDF format (but can accept word) please save the file to include the name of the play and name of the playwright.

What happens when I submit my play?

Once we have received your play, you will receive an automated email confirming that its arrived. One of artistic team will then read your play and get back to you within 12 weeks if it is something we want to produce.

Do you offer feedback?

No, sorry we are unable to provide feedback on plays that we’re not considering for production.
