Talkin’ bout my Generation

Talkin’ bout my Generation is an inspirational project aimed at building community cohesion by bringing the old and young together on an exciting drama and film project.

Young people from Polygon Youth Centre, Alfreton visited the residents of Glebe care home and over numerous cups of tea the residents recounted fascinating and surprising stories about how life in Derbyshire used to be. Working with a team of professional theatre practitioners and film makers the young people created an original theatre performance and film documentary using these stories and memories. There was a celebratory screening and performance event at the Glebe and the youth centre.
