Call Out for Young Actors

Fifth Word Theatre and Film City productions will be holding open auditions for young actors to take part in 2 short films to be shot in Derby between August – September 2014.

The short films Pride and Tell Me (working titles) are dramas that explore the theme of gang culture and making positive choices and are inspired by real life events. Fifth Word and Film City are working with Derbyshire police to produce these films that will be used as an educational resource in schools.

We are inviting interest from actors of any ethnicity, male and female with the playing age of 16- 19 and who have a regional accent.

There is no fee for this work but expenses will be paid. This is an opportunity for budding performers who want to gain experience working in the professional field.

To express your interest and to find out more send an e-mail to briefly telling us a bit about yourself and outlining any relevant experience you may have had by 5pm on Friday 12th July 2013. (you can also include a headshot if you have one).

I look forward to hearing from you
